Christy began riding on her sister's horse at 3 years old and hasn't outgrown it yet....much to the dismay of her parents.
She was active in her local 4H program where she got the chance to ride many different horses in many different styles.
In her teens Christy competed on the Arabian and open show cricuits, mainly focusing on Hunters, Jumpers and Equitation,
but also dabbling in saddle seat, western, driving and halter classes.

Christy attended UC Davis and was very active in the equestrian team, qualifying for IHSA nationals every year she was on the team and scoring in the national top-10 twice.  Whie in college, Christy also worked as a working student for several H/J trainers in Northern California.

After attaining her Master's degree in Journalism from Northwestern University, Christy set out on a career in high-tech marketing and public relations, handling multi-million dollar accounts for some of Silicon Valley's top companies.

During this time, she discovered eventing, which combines the thrill of the cross country gallop with the refined control required in the dressage and show jumping arenas.  Christy currently competes in Dressage and Eventing with her horses.

After completing her biggest event, giving birth to her twins, Conner and Emalie, Christy decided she wanted to step away from
the corporate world and focus on her family.  This decision led her to a career in saddle fitting., which allows her to combine her love of horses with her desire to spend time with her family.

After apprenticing with one of the nation's top saddle fitters, Christy became a saddle fitter and spent several years working with a wide range of equestrians - from FEI competitors to pleasure and trail riders.  Christy joined the Custom Saddlery Team in the spring of 2007 and handles Southern California and Arizona.

Christy resides in scenic Sun City, California with her husband Rob, children Connor and Emalie, a dog, two cats and three horses.
