Sue Newell

Sue has ridden in CS Saddles for the last 8 years.
Sue incorporates her success as a FEI level dressage competitor, a United States Dressage Federation Silver and Bronze Medalist, along with a young horse competitor to her position as a saddle fitter.
Sue's love of horses began early with a shetland pony named Dusty purchased for $25. In no time at all, she outgrew him and moved on to full sized horses. Shortly thereafter, she entered the jumping world and started showing throughout the nation as a junior rider in hunters, jumpers, and equitation.
Working her way through college as a working student riding training horses and teaching lessons, she was able to ride lots of different horses and teach all levels of riders. The barn there brought in dressage clinicians on a regular basis and that is how she became connected with dressage while having a very successful show jumping and training background.
After graduating from college and working as a CPA, she got married and raised her son, JD, while pursuing her love of dressage. During that time, Sue ran her own CPA office for 15 years and also became a very successful FEI level dressage competitor. She has competed successfully through Intermediate I and II, and has trained through Grand Prix.
Sue resides in San Marcos, California and keeps her two horses in Escondido.
